Hi ive a mk4 golf gttdi 130bhp pd engine 6 speed when i bought car all was fine then my speedo started working when it felt like it now it doesnt work at all just stays at 0! And wen i brake or turn corner the fuel gauge drops them comes back up but rev counter an water temp r working fine! Turn the ignition on for 3 seconds, off again and take out the key, hold down the lock button and press the unlock one 3 times, I just tried it on mine and if you do it right the car locks and unlocks and the little red light on the remote flashes 5 times. Give it a go, nothing to lose anyway.

I have a MK4 SE 16V 2001, nothing special, I am currently at work and my alarm keeps going off. it seems to only happen when the car is cold / moisture in the air.. When the car is warm alarm will not sound.
Re: Indicators not working. I am running into some issues with the indicators on a 1.3 vw fox. The light displays on the dash when I turn on the indicator but, the indicators don't go on, however the hazards work fine. I have checked all fuses, and replaced the flashing unit. What more is there to check, as the hazards don't work.
Hi A3_Audi, Many thanks for replying to my post. I have run the "Output Test" in VCDS and all gauge motors and indicators are working fine. I still think I have a broken wire somewhere and need to find out where the signal runs from the gearbox ECU to the instrument cluster.

The left indicator works fine. When it stops working the hazard lights work ok. At the same time it stops working the main/dip headlight selector on the switch 0MoKkY.
