The reason why is simple: processing. Having one person play on one console is different to having four people play on it. The graphics card and cpu have to do four times the work; so if left 4 dead was four player on the same console it would be unplayable from the low frames per second.

Subscribe, start Left 4 Dead 2 and wait for add-ons to load. Go to Add-ons menu and disable any conflicting add-ons. (e.g. other vocalizer or add-ons with radial menus) Go to Options menu and bind the radial menus to the keys you want. Options → Keyboard/Mouse → Edit Keys/Buttons → Vocalizer Radial Menus.
