Guild Wars 2 Discussion. [Suggestion] RE: RNG Gemstore Mount Skins. Alright, ANET. I love you, I really do, but this is where I draw the line. I've always done my best to support you where I could. I am a college student; my limited income is stretched far and thin, and I rarely have much left over at the end of the month for the little things.
gw2 is basically free to play. upon the many upsides, it comes with the fact that all the best skins are in the gemstore, including mount skins. here and there you can earn a nice weapon skin ingame, too. as a rule of thumb, the good stuff is in the store. mount skins are gemstore exclusive.
For now, I'll point out that. The only glider skins that can be obtained in-game are associated with their legendary backpack counterparts. Glider skins and MountFits are 100% cosmetic options and many people prefer getting to choose whether to invest in them or not, while not having to pay a subscription fee. In fact Asmongold has enjoyed mount skin hunting in ffxiv a lot by doing trials content. Skins and skinned items can be character based, but skin unlocks are not (if you apply a skin you always also get the skin unlock--you can also usually right click and select the unlock skin or add to wardrobe option). Mounts do not cost anything to swap skins, so once a skin is unlocked it's just free to use

I don't think it's likely though. The only in-game glider skins we have are bundled with a matching legendary backpack. The only in-game outfits we have is the Hexed one (any others are only available via BL statuettes or indirectly from the gem shop, the original source of the tonics that can be converted to outfits). I already own some heavy modificated skins like the Shimmerwing Skyscale Skin for the skyscale, Tigris griffin and marauder warclaw (i said heavy modificated because they change the base model of the mount or thats what I understand they do).

Anet have said that they won't include non-core/optional mounts in mount packs, but i think they should do a smaller mount pack to cover the claw, beetle and dragon only. Perhaps their metrics are showing that not enough players have unlocked or us those mounts to make such a thing profitable, but for the sake of completion 3 more skins would
